Microneedling and PRP
Microneedling and PRP
Currently, Facial Rejuvenation is likely the most sought out cosmetic modality for those who seek an effective, minimally invasive procedure with minimal downtime and side effects with long- lasting results.
Most minimally invasive procedures aim to maintain the skin that you see while creating controlled change in the skin layer that you do not see; therefore, stimulating rejuvenation and firmness. Current minimally invasive techniques include nonablative lasers, radiofrequency, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, injectable fillers, and microneedling.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is highly concentrated growth factors produced from a sample of your blood. These growth factors regulate and induce cell and skin rejuvenation. Immediate improvement is seen in skin firmness and radiance. Patients notice improvement of fine lines, skin texture, and hydration as well as subtle skin tightening. Patients often notice that their face appears more volumized.
PRP Islands Facial is a treatment where PRP, used in conjunction with microneedling for facial rejuvenation, offers a minimally invasive option for all skin types with minimal downtime and long-lasting effects. When combined, the growth factors that are released from microneedling and the concentrated growth factors found in PRP serum work together to rejuvenate the skin in a way that each alone could not achieve.
Patients will see improvement with just one PRP Islands Facial, but to reach the level of optimal improvement and rejuvenation, we recommend a series of 4-6 treatment sessions one month apart.
Microneedling
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. These needles are used to create microchannels in the skin at various depths to allow treatment products to carry into the layers beneath the epidermis or outer skin layer. The procedure itself will stimulate release of growth factors that begin to improve the skin almost immediately.
The growth factors stimulate collagen, elastin, and improvement of blood flow to the skin. Microneedling sessions are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Microneedling has minimal side effects and can be used to treat almost all skin types.
Microneedling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues.
